Additional information:

Applying to UC-Berkeley requires not only impeccable previous academic records but also a tremendous insight and preparation on the application process, application documentation and its formats (strong resume, letter of motivation, letters of reference, etc), as well as careful attention to rigid application timings and deadlines.

Standard timeline and application processes to apply for a Master’s or PhD at UC-Berkeley usually run May through December of the academic year prior to the expected year of attendance. However, specific information regarding the graduate application process and respective timeline is found on each of UC-Berkeley’s department’s websites.

FLAD highly recommends prospective UC-Berkeley applicants to participate in Fulbright Portugal’s Pathway to Graduate School. This program, that is free of charge to participants, will guide and assist interested Portuguese students that wish to apply for a Masters or PhD program at a US university. See the Fulbright Portugal website for more information, here.
