This week the program America Vinte Vinte of TSF / Radio News – which has the support of FLAD – analyzes the period of uncertainty after election day in the United States, with Joe Biden ahead but the counting of votes is still far from over, with the analysis of Raquel Vaz Pinto.

U.S. presidential election day has become election week. Due to the pandemic, millions of American voters opted to mail-in voting and, due to the different counting rules in the various States, there is still many votes to count.

Raquel Vaz Pinto, Professor of International Relations at the Universidade Nova de Lisboa, joined journalist Ricardo Alexandre to analyze the unprecedented situation in the U.S. electoral process and the impasse that remains, when there is not yet a winner and the President has already announced that he will contest the count in several states.
