Portuguese-American in California, Richard Machado founded Agrian more than a decade ago, an agricultural technology company in Fresno State. Throughout the pandemic, there were several changes for the company, but also for Richard who for the first time in 20 years could not visit his homeland in Fajãzinha, Azores.
