Applications are open for the FLAD Drawing Award 2022, which will award with 20,000 euros the best that is done in the area of design in Portugal, a partnership with Drawing Room Lisboa.

After the success of the first edition, won by the artist Pedro Tropa, FLAD launches the second edition of the initiative, with the aim of recognizing the artistic talent in Portugal and supporting the promising artists of our country.

From April 4 to May 4, all artists of Portuguese or foreign nationality residing in Portugal for more than five years, aged 28 years or older, can apply for this award.

This open call will be developed in two stages. On the first stage we will select 10 finalists, who will have the opportunity to present their work in the 2022 edition of Drawing Room Lisboa, which will take place in October. The finalists will also have the opportunity to open the doors of their workshops for the visits that will be part of the parallel activities of the fair.

The finalists will be known on October 29, at an event held at drawing room Lisboa, and will receive a monetary prize in the amount of 20,000 euros.

The area of artistic production chosen was the drawing, for its important representation in the contemporary art collection of FLAD and for constituting an artistic expression of very intimate relationship with the creator of art.
