County of Maui Mayor || Michael P. Victorino is the mayor of the County of Maui. In 1998, Mayor Victorino entered public service as a Maui representative on the Hawaii State Board of Education. In 2006, he was elected to the Maui County Council, where he served for 10 years on the Council’s Wailuku, Waihe`e, and Waikapu residency seat. Michael Victorino’s family traces its Portuguese roots to São Miguel Island in the Azores.
