FLAD, in partnership with eight elected officials from the Portuguese diaspora in the United States, launches, for the third consecutive year, its Legislative Internships innitiative, aimed at young Portuguese Americans seeking experience in public service and greater involvement with our community in the U.S.

The 3rd edition of the internship program offers a unique opportunity for young Americans with Portuguese ancestry, in such an important year for American democracy, to have experience in political and legislative realms, at the highest level, and with a wide offer.

FLAD Legislative Internships are open to U.S. citizens of Portuguese ancestry with ages between 18 and 25.

Up to eight candidates will be selected for these internships, which will take place between April and August this year, with a duration of 10 to 12 weeks. The start date, duration, and working hours are flexible.

All interns will receive a stipend for this work period, which will range from $1,500 to $2,000 for State House and the U.S. Congress positions, respectively.
