State Representative || Deborah Fellela Bento is a member of the Rhode Island General Assembly, representing District 43 in Johnston. Deborah serves as Deputy Majority Leader of the House of Representatives, of which she has been a member since 2007. Representative Bento is also Vice-Chair of the House Committees on Veterans’ Affairs and on Labor. Previously, she served in the School Improvement Team at the Robert F. Kennedy Elementary School and in the Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) at the Barnes Elementary School. Deborah Fellela Bento also worked for 28 years in the Providence School Department. Deborah is the granddaughter of Portuguese immigrants, being her grandmother from the Azores.
