Amy Schulte: The adaptation of the San José Fire Department

Amy Shutle, the only Portuguese-American female firefighter that works for the San José Fire Department, explains to us the greatest difficulties experienced during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Despite the obstacles faced by the San Jose Fire Department, with colleagues falling ill or quarantined, all firefighters, including Amy, are doing their best to keep everyone safe during this pandemic. Many changes have also been implemented to the operations of the Fire Department in order to prevent the new coronavirus from spreading.
