In the new space of analysis and debate of the TSF – which has the support of FLAD – on the upcoming U.S. presidential elections, journalist Ricardo Alexandre analyzes the first presidential debate and dissects the American economic model.
This week was marked by the first head-to-head between the two candidates for the Presidency of the United States. The debate, moderated by veteran Fox News journalist Chris Wallace, has been anything but smooth and has already prompted the committee responsible for organizing presidential debates to announce that it will consider rule changes.
José Alberto Lemos, a journalist founding the newspaper PÚBLICO and who directed the newsroom in Porto of SIC, has lived for four years in the United States, and agreed to sit with Ricardo Alexandre in the Studios of TSF in Porto to analyze the debate.
In the second part of the program, TSF invited ISEG economist Ricardo Cabral to analyze the economic model of the United States, at a time when the pandemic will again create an economic shock of historical proportions, the second in just over a decade.
