Third-generation Portuguese-American, Angela Simões leads the Portuguese-American Leadership Council of the United States (PALCUS), the only national organization representing all Portuguese-Americans in the U.S. During the COVID-19 pandemic, several initiatives have been developed to help Portuguese companies survive this period, recognize the Portuguese-Americans at the forefront of this pandemic, and help the elderly of the Portuguese-American community.
