In The Family

Chip Hines, a precocious six-year old, has only known life with his two gay dads, Cody and Joey. When Cody dies suddenly in a car accident, Joey and Chip struggle to find their footing again. Just as they begin to do so, Cody’s will reveals that he named his sister as Chip’s guardian. Joey searches for a solution. The law is not on his side, but their friends are. With notable performances, a wonderfully written dialogue and stylistically accomplished visuals, In the Family is probably one of the best and most overlooked directorial debuts of the last decade.
