The Ryries have suffered a loss: the death of a baby a few hours after its birth. As family members, without words to express their sadness, surrender to the loneliness of grief, an unexpected visit leads them to be more and more attentive, with humor, to the problems that are part of any human life, but that also carry within them the power to unite us.
