Teddy Sharpe (Lou Diamond Phillips) is an officer with the Thunderstone Tribal Police Department. Tormented by a past that led to his isolation from the community, his mission now is to introduce his most recent partner to the peculiarities of police work on a reservation. In the meantime, Richie Blacklance, recently freed from prison, but still wanted for a series of brutal murders, returns to Thunderstone to hide, settle old scores and take his adolescent nephew Albert, under his wing. On the heels of Ritchie´s chaotic trail, and the violence he drags behind him, Teddy is forced to confront his past in the hopes of finding redemption and put an end to the cycle of violence assaulting the community. Vincent Crashaw skillfully avoids the clichés of the genre, and paints a pitiless portrait of life on an indigenous reservation.
