With the threat of an imminent construction project hovering over the beloved baseball field in their small city, two teams from an amateur New England league face off for the last time during the course of a day. Tensions rise and the ceremonial good mood reins while, at the same time, an era of camaraderie and escapism fades in the face of an uncertain future. Carson Lund debuts as a director with Eephus (a baseball term meaning a slow throw with a high arc trajectory), following a solid journey as a cinephile and critic, and a career as director of photography and editor on his partners´ films at Omnes Films, the production company he helped found. The film premiered in the category Un certain regard at the Cannes film festival, to great critical acclaim.
