Applications are open for the new Artistic Improvement Scholarship, aimed at artists in the area of Cinema and Photography. This support will allow artists in these two areas to advance ther training in a U.S. institution for upt to 9 months, in 2022.<\/h3>\n

FLAD continues to invest in the development of Arts and Culture in our country, and in artists in particular, launching another important initiative. The new Artistic Improvement Scholarship is intended for artists of Portuguese nationality, or foreigners residing in Portugal for more than 5 years.<\/p>\n

This support will allow selected artists to undertake a training of excellence in the field of cinema or photography in the USA, with financial support of up to 3000 euros per month, for a maximum of 9 months.<\/p>\n

Applications<\/strong><\/p>\n

Individual applications will be accepted according to the following requirements:<\/p>\n

\u2022 Have Portuguese nationality or be a resident in Portugal for more than 5 years;
\n\u2022 Have artistic and\/or academic CV in the areas mentioned;
\n\u2022 Present plan of the course you want to attend or plan for the training period in the USA;
\n\u2022 Present letter of motivation;
\n\u2022 Submit two letters of recommendation;
\n\u2022 Present letter of acceptance of the U.S. institution to which you apply;
\n\u2022 Submit a budget, discriminating the costs and sources of funding to which you have competed or will compete for your stay in the USA.
\n\u2022 Mastery of the English language;
\n\u2022 For the final selection, candidates may be submitted to an oral interview;<\/p>\n

The application must be submitted in its own form, available through the online application system: https:\/\/flad.secure.force.com\/CandidaturaMain?language=pt_PT<\/a><\/p>\n

Grantees shall send flad a written report on the training action within 90 days of its completion.<\/p>\n

Deadlines for submitting applications<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022 Applications: 6 October 2021 to 6 January 2022<\/p>\n

\u2022 Results: until February 28, 2022<\/p>\n
