See below how to apply.<\/strong><\/h3>\n<h4><strong>Main goal<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>FLAD and the Department of <em>Government<\/em> of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.georgetown.edu\/\">Georgetown University<\/a> (Washington, D.C., USA) seek a <strong> Visiting Professor<\/strong> to <strong>teach a course for one semester,<\/strong> in English, on a topic in the field of <strong> International Relations and\/or Political Science<\/strong> related to <strong>contemporary Portugal<\/strong> in the context of transatlantic relations and global politics. Research on related topics may also be taken into account in the selection process.<\/p>\n<p>The final decision on the subject to be taught will be made throught agreement between Georgetown University and the selected candidate.<\/p>\n<p>Applicants must also follow and collaborate with FLAD&#8217;s work in Washington D.C., whether at that University or in the relationship with institutions based in the US capital, including think tanks, foundations, other universities, and different local contacts.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Period<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A Visiting Professor will be chosen for the following academic semester:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Fall Semester (August-December) 2022<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Applicants must:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Have completed a PhD;<\/li>\n<li>Have published research within his\/hers academic field;<\/li>\n<li>Have teaching experience in English.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Application process<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Applications must be submitted through the online form available at this link: <a href=\"https:\/\/flad.secure.force.com\/CandidaturaMain?language=pt_PT\">https:\/\/flad.secure.force.com\/CandidaturaMain?language=en<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>You will need to submit the following documents:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Motivation letter;<\/li>\n<li>CV in Portuguese and in English;<\/li>\n<li>Proposal of the course syllabus in English;<\/li>\n<li>Copy of the PhD certificate;<\/li>\n<li>Two letters of recommendation from professionals from the academic world (research and\/or teaching).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Only applications submitted through this form will be considered.<\/p>\n<p>The application period will run from <strong>October 7 to November 20, 2021.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Selection<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Applications will be reviewed by the following selection committee:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Rita Faden, President of FLAD;<\/li>\n<li>Nuno Garoupa, Professor at George Mason University;<\/li>\n<li>Nuno Severiano Teixeira, Professor at NOVA University of Lisbon.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For a better assessment, short-listed applicants will be interviewed.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Funding<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>FLAD will award a USD 5,500\/montht grant to the selected
