{"id":96716,"date":"2021-06-17T08:53:59","date_gmt":"2021-06-17T08:53:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.flad.pt\/?p=96716"},"modified":"2022-09-06T10:37:29","modified_gmt":"2022-09-06T09:37:29","slug":"rd-usa","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.flad.pt\/en\/rd-usa\/","title":{"rendered":"R&#038;D@USA: Support for research extended to master&#8217;s"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\"><p>[vc_row][vc_column column_width_use_pixel=&#8221;yes&#8221; gutter_size=&#8221;3&#8243; overlay_alpha=&#8221;50&#8243; shift_x=&#8221;0&#8243; shift_y=&#8221;0&#8243; shift_y_down=&#8221;0&#8243; z_index=&#8221;0&#8243; medium_width=&#8221;0&#8243; mobile_width=&#8221;0&#8243; column_width_pixel=&#8221;800&#8243;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Grants for research internships in the USA designed for master&#8217;s students, doctoral students, and junior researchers (with a PhD for no longer than 3 years) from Portuguese institutions. <\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>To contribute to the strengthening of the Portuguese academic and scientific community, FLAD awards grants to master&#8217;s students, doctoral students, and junior researchers (with a PhD for no longer than 3 years), from Portuguese institutions, to develop research internship programs in academic and scientific institutions in the USA.<\/p>\n<p>Internships will last <strong>4 months or more.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>These internships should focus on innovative scientific or technological issues, while also contributing to a greater alignment between Portuguese and American institutions in hope of reinforcing the knowledge network shared by the two countries and thus facilitating the creation of institutional partnerships.<\/p>\n<p>This FLAD grant provides support to a maximum of <strong>\u20ac1,500\/month.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Applications<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Individual applications will be accepted according to the following requirements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Portuguese nationality or resident in Portugal;<\/li>\n<li>Master students, PhD students, and junior researchers (with a PhD for no longer than 3 years) at Portuguese institutions of higher education and\/or research centers;<\/li>\n<li>Internship program;<\/li>\n<li>Acceptance letter from the US institution, mentioning the internship period of stay;<\/li>\n<li>Letter of reference from the Portuguese institution to which the applicant is institutionally bound;<\/li>\n<li>Detailed budget of expected costs and the sources of funding applied to finance this internship.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Deadlines \u2013 2023 Open Calls<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong>Internships starting between January 1st and June 30th, 2023:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Applications:<\/strong> until October 31st, 2022.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Results<\/strong>: until December 31st, 2022.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Internships starting between July 1st and December 31st, 2023:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Applications<\/strong>: until April 30th, 2023.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Results<\/strong>: until June 30th, 2023.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Applications must be submitted online.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Apply <a href=\"https:\/\/flad.secure.force.com\/CandidaturaMain?language=pt_PT\">here.<\/a><\/strong>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row]<\/p>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Grants for research internships in the US designed for master&#8217;s, doctoral students, and junior researchers from Portuguese institutions.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":3,"featured_media":96719,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":"","_links_to":"","_links_to_target":""},"categories":[447,803],"tags":[423,426,433,444,445,448,416,521,529,417,422],"ppma_author":[1202],"class_list":["post-96716","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-scholarships-science-and-technology","category-opportunities-flad","tag-bags","tag-usa-en","tag-research","tag-flad-en","tag-2000-en","tag-stage","tag-flad-2000","tag-investigacao-en","tag-estagio-en","tag-portugal-en","tag-science-and-technology"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v26.7 -
