See down below how to apply.<\/strong><\/h3>\n<h4><strong>Main objective<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>FLAD and the Department of Government at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.georgetown.edu\/\">Georgetown University<\/a> (Washington, D.C., USA) seek a <strong> Visiting Professor<\/strong> to <strong>teach a semestral course,<\/strong> in English, on a topic within the area of <strong> International Relations and\/or Political Science<\/strong> related to <strong>contemporary Portugal,<\/strong> in the context of transatlantic relations and global politics. Research on related topics may also be taken into account in the evaluation process.<\/p>\n<p>The final decision on the subject to be taught will be made by agreement between Georgetown University and the selected candidate.<\/p>\n<p>Applicants must also accompany and collaborate with FLAD&#8217;s work in Washington D.C., whether at that University or in the relationship with institutions based in the US capital, including think tanks, foundations, other universities, and various local contacts.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Period<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>A Visiting Professor will be selected for the following academic semester:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Spring semester 2022<\/strong> (January-May).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><strong>Requirements<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Applicants must:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Possess a PhD degree;<\/li>\n<li>Have published research within his\/hers academic field;<\/li>\n<li>Own teaching experience in English.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><strong>Applications<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Applications should be sent to the email <a href=\"mailto:fladport@flad.pt\"><strong>fladport@flad.pt<\/strong><\/a>, with the reference \u201cConcurso Professor Visitante Georgetown University 2021\/2022\u201d, with the following documents attached:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Motivation letter;<\/li>\n<li>CV in Portuguese and English;<\/li>\n<li>Proposal of the course syllabus in English;<\/li>\n<li>Copy of the PhD certificate;<\/li>\n<li>Two letters of recommendation from professionals within the academic field (research and\/or teaching);<\/li>\n<li>Consent under the General Data Protection Regulation (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.flad.pt\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/GDPR-FLAD-Declaration-of-Consent-to-the-Collection-and-Processing-of-Personal-Data.pdf\">GDPR Consent<\/a>);<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The application period will run from <strong>March 22nd until May 31st, 2021.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h4><strong>Jury<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Applications will be examined by a jury consisting of:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Dr. Rita Faden, President of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.flad.pt\">FLAD;<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Prof. Nuno P. Monteiro, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.yale.edu\/\">Yale University<\/a>;<\/li>\n<li>Prof. Nuno Severiano Teixeira, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unl.pt\/\">Universidade NOVA de Lisboa.<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To the chosen candidate, FLAD will award a grant in the amount of <strong>5.500 USD\/month<\/strong>, with <strong>health\u00a0insurance and round-trip travel<\/strong> additionally included.<\/p>\n<p>We
