This week’s newsletter uses the examples from former U.S. Presidents Jimmy Carter, Ronald Reagan, George H. W. Bush, Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, and Barack Obama<\/strong> to reflect on the importance of the last months of office, until January 20th, to finish unresolved matters \u2014whether to correct something or to strengthen the President’s legacy even before his successor takes office. As for Donald Trump<\/strong>, it’s too early to speak with certainty as to what he intends to do in his last days in office. A big difference from all the cases mentioned above is, for now, this: recognizing defeat (applicable to the cases of Jimmy Carter and George H. W. Bush, the only ones who left the White House for losing the election), receiving his successor and starting the transition of power, a topic that will be discussed in a future newsletter. <\/strong><\/p>\n
