href=\"http:\/\/www.bnportugal.gov.pt\/index.php?option=com_content&amp;view=frontpage&amp;Itemid=1&amp;lang=pt\">National Library of Portugal (BNP),<\/a> <strong>promotes an annual program of short-term research grants.<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This program aims to stimulate the knowledge of Portuguese history and culture in the USA, as well as to increase scientific and cultural cooperation between the two countries.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">And, therefore, <strong>the FLAD-BNP grant aims<\/strong> to support research on topics of Portuguese culture based on the collections of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bnportugal.gov.pt\/index.php?option=com_content&amp;view=frontpage&amp;Itemid=1&amp;lang=pt\">National Library of Portugal (BNP), <\/a>and is intended for researchers from higher education institutions in the United States of America.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The grants have a duration of <strong>one month, <\/strong>provide a monthly allowance of<strong>1,400 euros, <\/strong>and may additionally include the payment of the round trip up to <strong>750 euros, <\/strong>subject to proof of payment.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Once submitted, applications are assessed by a joint committee by representatives of <strong>BNP<\/strong>and <strong>FLAD.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The application process is currently closed but <strong>will be reopened in 2020.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>For more
