{"id":84405,"date":"2019-06-14T14:48:34","date_gmt":"2019-06-14T14:48:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.flad.pt\/flad-azores-chairs\/"},"modified":"2021-04-05T10:08:38","modified_gmt":"2021-04-05T10:08:38","slug":"flad-azores-chairs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.flad.pt\/en\/flad-azores-chairs\/","title":{"rendered":"FLAD Azores Chairs"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3><strong>International open call to be launched by the University of the Azores, with the support of FLAD, the<a href=\"https:\/\/www.fct.pt\/index.phtml.en\"> Funda\u00e7\u00e3o para a Ci\u00eancia e Tecnologia<\/a> (FCT) and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.azores.gov.pt\/Portal\/pt\/principal\/homepage.htm\">the Regional Government of the Azores<\/a>. <\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For three years, we will support the creation of three chairs, <\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">with a special focus on the areas of the <strong>Atlantic agenda:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Atlantic Interactions and Space;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Digital Transformation and Advanced Computing;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Innovation for a Sustainable Economy.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Azores are decisive in the study of space, atmosphere, climate change, and the Atlantic, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">due to the size of the archipelago, its island dispersion and the strategic geographical location of the Azores.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">FLAD Azores Chairs aims to capture qualified human resources for the development of research and advanced training activities at the University of the Azores.<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This initiative also has the collaboration of the<a href=\"https:\/\/www.uml.edu\/\"><strong> University of Massachusetts of Lowell.<\/strong><\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We, therefore, want to strengthen the investment in scientific research in our Azorean <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;test laboratory&#8221;, and the contribution that may arise, both for the development of Portugal and for the strengthening of the transatlantic tie. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The open call for the selection of the professor responsible for the chair &#8220;Atlantic Interactions and Space&#8221; will be launched very soon. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>For more information, follow us through our social media or subscribe to our website.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>See you soon!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>International open call to be launched for the creation of 3 Chairs at the University of Azores.
