column_width_pixel=&#8221;800&#8243;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Students, teachers, and researchers <\/strong><strong>were all gathered at FLAD to exchange experiences and contacts on a promising afternoon.<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p class=\"null\">On the <strong>26th of September <\/strong>FLAD&#8217;s auditorium was filled with participants<strong> for our first seminar <em>Study and Research in the USA.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"null\">To attend a master&#8217;s degree, a Ph.D. or to do research at a university in the United States is often an ambition of students and researchers who want to develop a career in world-leading institutions.<\/p>\n<p class=\"null\"><strong>But few are aware of the different resources available,<\/strong> such as the<a href=\"https:\/\/ies.berkeley.edu\/psp-pintofialon-scholarships-and-fellowships\"> Pinto\/Fialon fund<\/a> available at the prestigious <a href=\"http:\/\/www.berkeley.edu\">University of California &#8211; Berkeley<\/a>, intended exclusively to support Portuguese and Portuguese-descendant candidates who want to attend this university.<\/p>\n<p class=\"null\"><strong>In this session, we counted with the presence of:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"null\"><strong>Prof.<\/strong> <strong>Elsa<\/strong><span style=\"font-size: 15px;\"><strong>Henriques, <\/strong>from FLAD;<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"null\"><span style=\"font-size: 15px;\"><strong>Dr. Ot\u00edlia Reis <\/strong>and Dr. Ricardo Sequeira from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fulbright.pt\">Fulbright Portugal;<\/a><\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"null\"><span style=\"font-size: 15px;\"><strong>Prof.<\/strong> <strong>Jos\u00e9 Paulo Esperan\u00e7a, <\/strong>from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fct.pt\">the Funda\u00e7\u00e3o para a Ci\u00eancia e Tecnologia <\/a>\u00a0(FCT);<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"null\"><span style=\"font-size: 15px;\"><strong>Prof.<\/strong> <strong>Deolinda Ad\u00e3o, <\/strong>from the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.berkeley.edu\">University of Berkeley<\/a> as a representative of the <a href=\"https:\/\/ies.berkeley.edu\/psp-pintofialon-scholarships-and-fellowships\">Pinto-Fialon Fund.<\/a><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Numerous support programs were presented at this session, <\/strong>from FLAD&#8217;s grants to the support provided by Fullbright and by the Funda\u00e7\u00e3o para a Ci\u00eancia e Tecnologia, on an afternoon of questions and answers that brought Portugal and the United States closer together.<\/p>\n<p class=\"null\"><strong>Below you can access the recording of the session, which has been divided into two panels.<\/strong> In the first part, you can find information about the real experience of those who have studied in the United States; in the second part, the resources available for those who have the US as an academic and scientific destination were presented.<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row
