The contest aims to make known the perspective of the new generations on the American Revolution and the role of the USA in the contemporary world. <\/p>\n<p>With this initiative, FLAD reinforces its commitment to encourage the study of American politics in Portugal and to support young people with an interest in transatlantic relations, marking a historic date that continues to mark the global democratic debate.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Participation criteria:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Young people between 18 and 23 years old (at the closing date of the competition)<\/li>\n<li>Portuguese nationality or residence in Portugal for at least 5 years<\/li>\n<li>Original article, not previously published<\/li>\n<li>Text in Portuguese, up to 3,500 characters (with spaces)<\/li>\n<li>Submission through the online form, accompanied by a CV<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Prizes:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1st place: 2,000 \u20ac and publication of the article in a leading media outlet in Portugal<\/li>\n<li>2nd place (ex aequo, two winners): \u20ac1,000 for each candidate<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>How to apply:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Applications must be submitted
