{"id":111421,"date":"2025-09-01T11:22:14","date_gmt":"2025-09-01T10:22:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.flad.pt\/scholarships-usapt-2026\/"},"modified":"2025-09-04T11:50:07","modified_gmt":"2025-09-04T10:50:07","slug":"scholarships-usapt-2026","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.flad.pt\/en\/scholarships-usapt-2026\/","title":{"rendered":"Scholarships USA@PT 2026"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3><b>Support for the participation of<\/b><b> North American speakers in seminars, workshops and conferences in Portugal, organized by Portuguese institutions.<\/b><\/h3>\n<p>With the aim of fostering the exchange of knowledge between the two scientific communities and solidifying a lasting relationship between Portuguese and North American institutions, FLAD awards grants to promote the visit of American lecturers to Portugal.<\/p>\n<p>FLAD grants a total or partial allowance for travel and\/or expenses during the stay of speakers in Portugal, up to a maximum amount of <strong>1,200\u20ac<\/strong> per speaker and up to a total amount of <strong>2,500\u20ac<\/strong> per request.<\/p>\n<h3><b>Applications<\/b><\/h3>\n<p>Applications must be submitted by the Portuguese Institution that organizes the event, containing the following elements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Meeting program;<\/li>\n<li>Budget of the meeting discriminating expenses and revenues, with indication of co-sponsors;<\/li>\n<li>Brief biographical note from speakers from the U.S.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><b>Deadlines for submitting applications:<\/b><\/h3>\n<p>Applications must be made <strong>4 months befor<\/strong><strong>e<\/strong> the start date of the Portuguese conference that intends to receive a North-American speaker.
