FLAD will award 20 thousand euros to the best that is done in the area of design in Portugal. In this year&#8217;s edition, artists aged 30 and over will be able to apply and each finalist will receive a grant of \u20ac2,000 for the final exhibition at Drawing Room Lisboa.<\/h3>\n<p>Every year, the FLAD Drawing Award has received hundreds of applications from artists all over the country. The works of artists <a class=\"cursor-init\" href=\"https:\/\/www.flad.pt\/en\/pedro-tropa-is-the-winner-of-the-flad-drawing-award-2021\/\">Pedro Tropa<\/a>, <a class=\"cursor-init\" href=\"https:\/\/www.flad.pt\/en\/artist-maria-capelo-wins-premio-flad-de-desenho-2022\/\">Maria Capelo,<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.flad.pt\/en\/artist-carla-filipe-wins-flad-drawing-award-2023\/\">Carla Filipe<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.flad.pt\/en\/rosa-baptista-wins-flad-drawing-award-2024\/\">Rosa Baptista<\/a> have already been awarded. This year, FLAD continues the path of recognizing artistic talent in Portugal and supporting promising artists in our country with a new edition of the Award with applications open between April 15th and May 15th. <\/p>\n<p>This open call will be developed in two phases. This year, for the first time, up to five finalists will be selected instead of ten, who will have the opportunity to exhibit their work in the 2025 edition of <a class=\"cursor-init\" href=\"https:\/\/drawingroom.pt\/\">Drawing Room Lisboa<\/a>, taking place between October 23rd and 26th, at the National Society of Fine Arts, in Lisbon. For this exhibition, each artist will have a production value of \u20ac2,000 available. <\/p>\n<p>The selected artist will be known on October 25, during the Drawing Room Lisboa, and will receive a monetary prize worth 20 thousand euros.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Who can apply?<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Artists of Portuguese nationality or foreigners resident in Portugal for more than five years;<\/li>\n<li>Artists aged 30 or over at the date of the respective applications.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>How and when to apply:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Applications open between April 15 and 11:59 pm (mainland Portugal time) on May 15;<\/li>\n<li>Applications will be made by completing the specific form that can be found at the following link: <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/flad.secure.force.com\/CandidaturaMain?language=pt_PT\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/flad.secure.force.com\/CandidaturaMain?language=pt_PT<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Documents required:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Candidate&#8217;s CV in PDF (maximum 2 pages);<\/li>\n<li>Portfolio of the candidate (maximum 25 pages);<\/li>\n<li>Photograph or image of the candidate (for disclosure in case of selection);<\/li>\n<li>Short biography in PDF (maximum 300 characters with spaces).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Evaluation of applications:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The winner of the contest will be chosen after the applications are reviewed by the jury, which will take place in two stages:<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Stage 1<\/u>:<\/strong> The applications submitted will be analyzed by a jury consisting of individualities of recognized capacity in the artistic area of importance that will make a selection of up to five finalist artists. The decision of the jury of the 1st phase will be announced by June 25, 2025.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>2nd phase<\/u>:<\/strong> From the set of finalist artists, selected in the 1st phase, a second jury will select the winner, who will be announced during Drawing Room Lisboa 2025, which will take place between October 23rd and 26th.
