{"id":109086,"date":"2024-09-02T14:55:48","date_gmt":"2024-09-02T13:55:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.flad.pt\/scholarships-usapt-2025\/"},"modified":"2025-06-25T11:30:04","modified_gmt":"2025-06-25T10:30:04","slug":"scholarships-usapt-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.flad.pt\/en\/scholarships-usapt-2025\/","title":{"rendered":"Scholarships USA@PT 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3><b>Support for the participation of American speakers<\/b> <b>in seminars, workshops and conferences in Portugal, organized by Portuguese institutions.<\/b><\/h3>\n<p>With the aim of fostering the exchange of knowledge between the two scientific communities, and solidifying a lasting relationship between Portuguese and North American institutions, FLAD awards scholarships that aim to promote the coming of North American lecturers to Portugal. FLAD grants a total or partial allowance for travel and\/or expenses during the speakers&#8217; stay in Portugal, up to a maximum amount of <strong>\u20ac1,200<\/strong> per speaker and up to a total amount of <strong>\u20ac2,500<\/strong> per request.<\/p>\n<h3><b>Applications<\/b><\/h3>\n<p>Applications must be submitted by the Portuguese Institution that organizes the event, containing the following elements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Meeting program;<\/li>\n<li>Budget of the meeting discriminating expenses and revenues, with indication of co-sponsors;<\/li>\n<li>Brief biographical note from speakers from the U.S.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><b>Deadlines for submitting applications:<\/b><\/h3>\n<p>Applications must be made <strong>4 months before<\/strong><strong>the<\/strong> start date of the Portuguese conference that intends to receive a North American speaker. Thus, the application deadlines for seminars, workshops and conferences in Portugal, starting from:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>January 2025:<\/strong> Applications from 1 to 30 September 2024<\/li>\n<li><strong>February 2025:<\/strong> Applications from 1 to 31 October 2024<\/li>\n<li><strong>March 2025<\/strong><strong>:<\/strong> Applications from 1 to 30 November 2024<\/li>\n<li><strong>April 2025:<\/strong> Applications from 1 to 31 December 2024<\/li>\n<li><strong>May 2025:<\/strong> Applications from 1 to 31 January 2025<\/li>\n<li><strong>June 2025:<\/strong> Applications from 1 to 28 February 2025<\/li>\n<li><strong>July 2025:<\/strong> Applications from 1 to 31 March 2025<\/li>\n<li><strong>August 2025:<\/strong> Applications from 1 to 30 April 2025<\/li>\n<li><strong>September 2025:<\/strong> Applications from 1 to 31 May 2025<\/li>\n<li><strong>October 2025:<\/strong> Applications from 1 to 30 June 2025<\/li>\n<li><strong>November 2025:<\/strong> Applications from 1 to 31 July 2025<\/li>\n<li><strong>December 2025:<\/strong> Applications from 1 to 31 August 2025<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The results will be communicated within <strong>60 days<\/strong> after the deadline for the respective applications.
