The work of these artists will be exhibited at the Drawing Room Lisboa, which takes place between the 23rd and 27th of October at the Sociedade Nacional de Belas Artes, in Lisbon. The winner will be announced on October 26.<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The fourth edition of the FLAD Design Award will reward the best among more than 200 applications received. The choice will be made among the 10 finalists, whose works will be on display in an exhibition at <a href=\"https:\/\/drawingroom.pt\/en\/\">the Drawing Room Lisboa Fair<\/a>, between 23 and 27 October, at the National Society of Fine Arts.<\/p>\n<p>The winner will be announced on October 26, at Drawing Room Lisboa \u2013 which is once again a partner of this initiative \u2013 and will receive a monetary prize of 20 thousand euros.<\/p>\n<p>This award aims to support the production and artistic innovation in Portugal, to recognize the artistic talent in Portugal and to support the promising artists of our country.<\/p>\n<p>The area of artistic production chosen was the drawing, for its important representation in the Collection of Contemporary Art of FLAD and for constituting an artistic expression of a very intimate relationship with the creator of art. In the last editions of this annual initiative, the artist <a href=\"https:\/\/www.flad.pt\/en\/pedro-tropa-is-the-winner-of-the-flad-drawing-award-2021\/\">Pedro Tropa, <\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.flad.pt\/en\/artist-maria-capelo-wins-premio-flad-de-desenho-2022\/\">the artist Maria Capelo<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.flad.pt\/en\/artist-carla-filipe-wins-flad-drawing-award-2023\/\">Carla Filipe were<\/a> awarded.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text uncode_shortcode_id=&#8221;887902&#8243;]<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>FLAD Design Award 2024 Finalists<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=&#8221;1\/4&#8243;][vc_single_image media=&#8221;108840&#8243; media_width_percent=&#8221;100&#8243; uncode_shortcode_id=&#8221;353987&#8243;][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=&#8221;3\/4&#8243;][vc_column_text uncode_shortcode_id=&#8221;127395&#8243;]<\/p>\n<h4>B\u00e1rbara Fonte (Braga, 1981) has a degree in Fine Arts \u2013 Painting (2004) and a postgraduate degree in Theory and Practice of Drawing (2005) from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Porto. She was a drawing teacher in secondary and higher education. Calouste Gulbenkian and has held Artistic Residencies in Portugal, Russia, Madrid, Berlin and Istanbul. He has been exhibiting nationally and internationally since 1999. The practice of drawing is the central axis of his work where he redefines the very notions of drawing.
