{"id":106788,"date":"2024-01-15T09:48:28","date_gmt":"2024-01-15T09:48:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.flad.pt\/?p=106788"},"modified":"2024-01-15T09:48:28","modified_gmt":"2024-01-15T09:48:28","slug":"applications-open-flad-research-fellowships-torre-do-tombo-2024","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.flad.pt\/en\/applications-open-flad-research-fellowships-torre-do-tombo-2024\/","title":{"rendered":"Applications Open: FLAD Research Fellowships &#8211; Torre do Tombo 2024"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>FLAD, in partnership with <a href=\"https:\/\/antt.dglab.gov.pt\/\">Dire\u00e7\u00e3o-Geral do Livro, Arquivos e Bibliotecas \u2013 Arquivo Nacional da Torre do Tombo<\/a> (DGLAB-ANTT), launches the 2024 edition of the short-term research grants, with the aim of supporting the promotion of Portuguese language and culture in the USA.<\/h3>\n<p>This program is intended for students, faculty, and researchers from universities and\/or research centers in the United States, who are interested in studying the collections and documentary collections of the <a href=\"https:\/\/dglab.gov.pt\/bolsas-investigacao-curta-duracao-flad-dglab-antt-2023\/\">Arquivo Nacional da Torre do Tombo<\/a>, with a view to the elaboration of projects in the field of archival, history, or Portuguese culture and language.<\/p>\n<p>The fellowships have a minimum duration of one month and a maximum of three months and must be started by December 2024.<\/p>\n<p>The planned support is 1,400 euros per month, plus an additional payment of 750 euros, to subsidize travel-related costs.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Each candidate must include in the application:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.flad.pt\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/DGLAB-FLAD-Formulario-de-candidatura-2024-PT.pdf\">Application form, properly filled out<\/a>;<\/li>\n<li><em>Curriculum vitae<\/em> of the candidate;<\/li>\n<li>Brief biographical note on the candidate;<\/li>\n<li>Description of the study plan and the project it is part of;<\/li>\n<li>A document certifying the affiliation to the University or Institute with which the candidate is associated;<\/li>\n<li>Credentials that support the project and that are of interest for the appraisal of the application.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Applications must be sent in Portuguese by email to <a href=\"mailto:dsieq@dglab.gov.pt\">dsieq@dglab.gov.pt<\/a> <strong>until March 31, 2024<\/strong>.
