<\/p>\nThe 2nd edition of the Visual Arts Course has already started in Loul\u00e9, following the 1st edition that took place on the island of S\u00e3o Miguel, in the Azores, in 2022. For nine weeks, from September 15 to November 19, a group of six artists aged between 25 and 30 with diverse and transdisciplinary artistic practices in the exercise of contemporary thinking will have the opportunity to learn from and work with internationally renowned artists.<\/p>\n
The group of artists will have access to a complete study program with the participation of Gabriela Albergaria, Rommulo Concei\u00e7\u00e3o, Sonja Thomsen, Demi\u00e1n Flores, Claire Pentecost and Amy Yoes, as well as ongoing mentoring from artist Catarina Botelho and producer Ana Rostron.<\/p>\n
The Visual Arts Course is developed in partnership with Loul\u00e9 City Council and culminates in an exhibition at the Municipal Galleries of the Convento do Esp\u00edrito Santo, which opens on November 17, 2023, at 5pm.<\/p>\n
The selected artists received a \u20ac400 production grant for the works they produce during the Course. As part of the training, there will also be a series of three compulsory sessions open to the general public. Find out about the Program of Public Activities planned for the course:<\/p>\n
