{"id":104521,"date":"2023-04-11T10:07:57","date_gmt":"2023-04-11T09:07:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.flad.pt\/?p=104521"},"modified":"2023-04-11T10:07:57","modified_gmt":"2023-04-11T09:07:57","slug":"open-call-fifth-edition-of-flad-air-351-grants","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.flad.pt\/en\/open-call-fifth-edition-of-flad-air-351-grants\/","title":{"rendered":"Open Call: Fifth edition of FLAD \/ AiR 351 grants"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>Following the success of previous editions, FLAD and AiR 351 proudly announce the fifth edition of <em>FLAD \/ AiR 351 Grants<\/em>, an initiative generously supported by the Luso-American Development Foundation (FLAD).<\/h3>\n<p>This\u00a0grant is targeted for one US based\/American artist or curator at any stage of practice\u00a0and will cover a period of 4 months in 2023 (from early September to late December).<\/p>\n<p>Until today, there were 9 grant recipients hosted by AiR 351 within this partnership\u00b4s framework: Kim Schoen (2022), Ian Soroka (2022), Keren Benbenisty (2021), Adriana Ramic (2021), Jody Wood (2020), Jo\u00e3o Enxuto &amp; Erica Love (2020), Ellie Ga (2019) and Nicholas Knight (2019).<\/p>\n<p>AiR 351 is an independent international visual arts residency program located in Cascais, Lisbon region (Portugal). Its team works individually with each resident in a supportive environment, providing curatorial and technical assistance on a regular basis. Through institutional partnerships, AiR 351\u00b4s activities normally encompass a variety of contexts such as museums, art collections and art schools.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Program<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The program includes access to an individual studio and to communal spaces at AiR 351\u00b4s headquarters. AiR 351 involves residents in its general activities program: integration in the local artistic community, technical and curatorial assistance, possibility of working within AiR 351 partners network, studio visits, open studios and public presentations, when possible. AiR 351 will do its best to help the recipients find suitable accommodation.<\/p>\n<p>FLAD \/ AiR 351 Grants offer a monthly allowance of 1150 euros for a total period of 4 months. That amount should cover living expenses including accommodation, travel expenses and health and\/or accident insurance during the grant\u00b4s timeframe.
