State Representative || Tami Gouveia is a member of the Massachusetts House of Representatives, where she serves the 14th Middlesex District. In September 2020, Tami completed her PhD in Public Health, focusing her research on the non-arrest opioid crisis, including Portugal’s experience with decriminalization. Her work has focused precisely on public health and substance abuse issues. Tami Gouveia is part of the following Joint Committees: Mental Health, Substance Use, and Recovery; Children, Families, and Persons with Disabilities; and finally Consumer Protection and Professional Licensure. Born and raised in Lowell, Massachusetts, Tami Gouveia’s roots trace back to the Azores.
